Yannick Becker was born in Lauf a. d. Pegnitz/Germany in 1997 and completed his acting studies at the Faculty of Theatre and Film, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj.
Before becoming a member of the ensemble of the German State Theatre in Timișoara in early 2023, Yannick worked as an actor for the German section of the "Radu Stanca" National Theatre in Sibiu. At GSTT he plays in The Cherry Orchard after A.P. Chekhov as Epihodov Semion Panteleevich; A Midsummer Night's Dream after William Shakespeare as Puck; Danube Destinies by Andrea Wolfer and Swantje Volkmann as Alexander Steinlein; Lysistrata 3.0 after Aristophanes as Chremylos; The Theatre by Pascal Rambert as Fritz; Nadirs after Herta Müller as Toni.
He has worked with several directors from Romania and abroad: Volker Schmidt, Kristóf Szabó, Niky Wolcz, Pascal Rambert.
Yannick has participated in several theatre competitions and received the Special Jury Prize at the OKaua Festival 2019 in Bucharest for the role of Sandros in the play of the same name by Katalin Thuróczy (directed by Mara Opriș). He has also participated in workshops, including a training course by Stephan Perdekamp and Sarah Victoria and a workshop on improvisation and vocal imagination by Ada Milea.
