GSTT Takes Part in the “Artists for Artists” Campaign Again in 2026

In March, the German State Theatre Timișoara (GSTT) joins the National Campaign “Artists for Artists”, a permanent project of the Romanian Theatre Union (UNITER) which, for more than two decades, has promoted solidarity within the Romanian theatre community.

As part of this year’s edition, the German State Theatre Timișoara has scheduled the performance “Sister Act” on March 17, and all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Theatrical Solidarity Fund, which supports artists facing health problems or difficult life circumstances.

Initiated in 2002, the “Artists for Artists” campaign has become a symbol of professional solidarity in Romanian theatre, turning March into a month dedicated to mutual support among artists. Throughout its more than twenty editions, hundreds of performances across the country have contributed to the Theatrical Solidarity Fund, providing concrete assistance to colleagues in difficult situations.

By taking part in this initiative, the German State Theatre Timișoara reaffirms its solidarity with the artistic community and invites audiences to be part of this gesture of support. By purchasing a ticket to the performance of “Sister Act”, spectators directly contribute to supporting artists in need.

The “Artists for Artists” campaign is organized by the Romanian Theatre Union (UNITER), and the 2026 edition’s ambassador is the artist Nicu Alifantis.
