On November 26, 1938, two hand grenades exploded in the theatre hall during a performance by the Jewish-Bukovinian singer Sidy Thal and her ensemble at the Theatre in Timișoara. It was an anti-Semitic attack carried out by the Iron Guard, a far-right nationalist group, resulting in the deaths of four people and injuries to seventy others. This little-known event in Timișoara’s history was researched by playwright Thomas Perle and director Clemens Bechtel, with the help of Maria Mădălina Irimia from the Center for the Study of the History of Jews in Romania – "Wilhelm Filderman," inspiring them to create a documentary play based on it.

For the performances in Timișoara and Budapest, the cast includes: Viorica Predica, Katia Pascariu, Daniela Török, Olga Török, Oana Vidoni, Boris Gaza, Mircea Dragoman, and Mihai Prejban.

See you in April in Timișoara and Budapest!
