The German State Theatre Timișoara (GSTT) announces an additional performance of “Girlbosses” by Werner Schwab, scheduled for May 14 at 7:30 PM, in response to high interest and numerous requests from the public.
Directed by Irisz Kovacs, the production offers a sharp and provocative journey into the world of three women living on the margins of society, based on an emblematic text of contemporary German-language drama. With dark humor and clear-sightedness, the performance explores themes such as alienation, the degradation of values, and the fragility of identity, in an aesthetic that blends the grotesque with poetic intensity.
The cast features: Isolde Cobeț (Erna), Simona Vintilă (Grete), Ioana Iacob (Mariedl), and Radu Vulpe, forming an ensemble that has been highly praised by both audiences and critics alike.
The creative team includes set design by Réka Oláh, dramaturgy by Mira Țâra, original music by Adrian Piciorea, and movement direction by Sergiu Diță, all contributing to a powerful and contemporary stage production.
An additional highlight is the nomination of actress Ioana Iacob for the Romanian Theatre Union Awards (UNITER) in the category of Best Supporting Actress, for her remarkable performance in this production.
