The last premiere of the GSTT season: “Love Money” by Daniel Glattauer, directed by Irisz Kovacs.

Teatrul German de Stat Timișoara invites you to the premiere of the performance “Love Money” by Daniel Glattauer, directed by Irisz Kovacs, on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 7:30 PM. The production will have a second performance on Saturday, June 20, also at 7:30 PM.

With subtle humor, irony, and plenty of tension, “Love Money” starts from a situation that feels all too familiar: you go to the ATM to withdraw your money and discover that… it is no longer available. Or maybe it is, but not now. Or not there. Or not for you.

The main character, Alfred Henrich, tries to find out where his savings have disappeared and soon finds himself trapped in an absurd carousel filled with explanations, procedures, and promises. Everything is there — except the money. Along the way, the performance explores the fear of losing control, the nature of trust, and the ways in which money comes to influence human relationships.

The text by Austrian playwright Daniel Glattauer transforms an everyday experience into a timely story about insecurity, vulnerability, and our dependence on systems we rarely truly understand.

The cast brings together Daniel Ghidel as Alfred Henrich, Oana Vidoni as Mrs. Drobesch, Radu Vulpe as Dr. Cerny, and Olga Török as Ulli Henrich.

The artistic team includes Irisz Kovacs (director), Réka Oláh (set design), Mara Solomon (music and sound design), Mira Țâra (dramaturgy), Cosmin Anania (lighting design), Bojița Ilici (make-up), Isa Berger (assistant director), and Ovidiu Radu (technical director).

The performance is recommended for audiences aged 12+ and is surtitled in Romanian and English.
Tickets are available online via Entertix and at the theatre’s box office.
